During the first few days and weeks after someone dies suddenly it is normal to suffer awful shock. It is normal for children and adults to feel paralysed by their traumatic grief and the horror of what has happened and to have all sorts of strong and even scary physical and emotional symptoms.
At this time, it is important to seek support from those around you who love you.
It can also help to get support from others. There may be someone in your town who has lots of experience of helping people during the early days of a sudden bereavement. They might work in a hospital bereavement or chaplaincy service, or for a bereavement charity, or some other agency.
